Community Spirit
PACE is an all-American company with global reach and deep roots in the community. Sports team sponsorship is one way that PACE gives back to the community and enriches the lives of team members and their fans alike.
Softball Sponsorship
The PACE/TPS Softball Club has won six World Championships and is consistently ranked one of the top Slow Pitch Mens' A teams in the country. They have a winning record in both Slow Pitch Major and Mens' A divisions. PACE has sponsored the team since 1986.
Gene Williams has managed the team from the beginning.
"I don't know many teams that have had the same sponsor for 18 years," Williams said. "That kind of support is rare these days. The team appreciates it. So do the fans."
The team competes in a 12-13 week season that takes them from Minnesota to Florida, from Georgia to Texas. Although the team doesn't play in Upstate New York (no competition, Gene explained), they do host softball clinics for inner city kids in the Rochester area.
You'll find team standings and game schedule on the USSSA web site.
Racing Sponsorships
Fred and Lisa Kaempffe own Branich Motorsports LLC., a racing team based in Williamson, New York - just a short distance from the PACE headquarters in Sodus. Branich Motorsports competes in NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series (FMS) races throughout the Northeast, as well as in races on the New York State (ROC) Modified tour and in the NASCAR Weekly Modified Series. PACE has sponsored the team since 1998.
Above and beyond the time they spend modifying cars and racing, the Branich Motorsports team finds room in their schedule – and on their web site – to run a program called Racing for Kids.
In the Racing for Kids program, the Branich team works with elementary school teachers to use auto racing as a teaching aid. The team visits schools and uses the racecar, hauler, support equipment, and safety gear to present particular topics.
To date, Racing for Kids has helped teach pattern recognition to kindergartners, aspects of teamwork and safety to second graders, and the science of simple machines and advertising to fifth graders.
“By supporting our racing activities,” Fred Kaempffe said, “PACE helps us contribute to the community in many ways.”
