PACE designed and built the power supply for this strobe unit at a cost far less than OEM, provided PC board and wire harness subassemblies, and sourced the metal enclosure. Units are assembled at the PACE Technologies plant in China, boxed (including custom-designed bubble wrap packing) and shipped JIT to stateside customer locations. Production volume is 10,000 units per year.
PACE provided this low-volume customer with cost benefits typically associated with high-volume production, while sparing the customer the headaches and expensive overhead often encountered when dealing direct with offshore manufacturers.
